i kind of want to start all my posts with "well... shit" because that is how i feel every time i even think about writing something. it is overwhelming to try and get it out. my brain is so entrenched in academia right now that i had a brief impulse to outline this post. -- what is the thesis?, how do i back it up? --- ugh.

basically, i have been either thinking about school work, or doing it or feeling guilty about not doing it (as in right now). this is the universal state of most students i thought but somehow the early twentysomethings around me do not seem stressed at all. they are leisurely walking around campus covered in U of O clothing and sporting uggs even in the pouring rain. they are gossiping and glaring and doing anything but giving a shit about school.

i have come to the conclusion that i hate them.

ok... not all of them, but in all seriousness.... the vast majority of them.

above image:
i walk by this house every morning on my way to the bus. if i am in a good mood i say "good morning matt damon". if i am in a bad mood i wonder why the hell a nice, clean house like that has a poster of matt damon in the window and glare at his face.

well shit. i left awhile ago... almost two months ago and i have been trying to settle in and not freak out too much.

before leaving the last two months can be summed up with:
packing, estate sale, cleaning, blocking out any emotions i had about leaving the house, friends, family and the dogs (dixie and delta respectively). ugh.

then i left without really accepting that i was leaving. in fact i did not tell anyone goodbye, i just said "i'll see you later"..... which is a true statement.

Sunny side up flowers

Three months left at the house. I think that Randy (pictured) will
miss the wood paneling most of all.

About Me
